Being an early Gmail user, I got my last name @gmail.com. Course for some late comers with my last name, you can separate your name with a dot to make it more legible. For example, stevejobs@gmail.com is steve.jobs@gmail.com.
Some people don't include the text before the dot though. Some people send me email by mistake. These are their emails...
